Interesting take on Google Podcasts shutting down. I'm thinking along similar lines.

Podcasts give access to knowledge which would not otherwise have been shared, since most interesting thinkers are to busy doing things to write down most of their insights. Con: it is often hard to extract knowledge by listening. But it generates an ambient milieu which is good.
As someone who very much enjoys podcasts I continue to be frustrated that so much information is locked up in opaque audio files. How do we make all of this information accessible, searchable, navigable, linkable, upvotable, etc? Great opportunity if someone does this right, imo.
