Love this speech by Bill Gurley - one of the common things across top professionals like Bob Dylan, Danny Meyer, etc was that they studied everything they could find about their field, they were masterful students first.
Perhaps the best career advice I’ve heard is to lower the stakes. When we loosen our grip on the “right” path to pursue, we open ourselves to what the universe has to offer.
