Oversharing, to me, is
- when I’m avoiding the death of a conversation so I share information about myself to keep it going
- when I’m sharing this information coming from a desire for attention, validation, or a lack of awareness
- the belief that openness is synonymous with authenticity
- pouring my heart out to acquaintances and strangers, convinced that
I stopped oversharing and my life got better for it
