Their design is fundamentally at odds with the qualities that define great art: depth, complexity, and the capacity to provoke discomfort or transformation. Free labour —> free wealth so the next question will be how do we derive meaning without work. What do we do to find meaning in our free 40hours.
Young great minds should be focusing on making narrow AI to solve specific problems (eg breast cancer) over superintelligence. Creating supperintelligence is contrary to improving their quality of life. BUT their is a race between nations, so it becomes about delaying the time taken to make it. We have to appeal to personal self interest to encourage those capable of creating these technologies that it is not an ideal outcome.
