Intressant hur meme kulturen har radikaliserat många framförallt män. Det finns flera forum på internet och subkulturer, tex) incels, men inom denna var mördaren av Charlie Kirk rsdikaliserad av memes och gjorde mordet som ett stort skämt. Jag tänker på hur farligt det är att vara på internet.

Dead poets society har em fin handling på ett sett, dethär där man ska inte följa strömmen, men jag gillar inte det ani akademiska, det är viktigt att kunna tänka kritiskt, och väl, ta betänkta beslut. Jag gillar inte heller hur man ska många dagen och finna sig själv på ett så ytligt sätt. Män är så ytliga när de ska hitta sig själv.

I disagree. Yes, I know students and professors of literature will be disappointed that the movie isn't about the pleasure of actually engaging critically with a text - something much more challenging than simply experiencing pleasure while reading the text, an act that doesn't require you to think for yourself. It's that The Dead Poet's Society is terribly shallow, and the way the young men "find themselves" is shallow as well. The point shouldn't be to fall in love with yourself, which is shallow navel-gazing that leads nowhere, but to be challenged to engage with the world in a real and creative way, to be excellent, to think well, and to gain real insight. That is what artists should be doing. There is no way to be authentic without the ability to think for yourself, and the shallow platitudes offered by the movie do not help anyone to find their authentic selves or to engage with art or literature in a real way.

Its shallowness reminds me of the "Eat, Pray, Love" approach to spirituality.
