Insight: Your career, daily work, hobbies, and interests are all likely to change over the course of your life, but your calling is always essentially the same. It is nothing less or more than being who you are so your true work in the world can get done.

If work is an act of love, whether paid or unpaid, then for Christians, work is an activity that should continue, in different forms, as long as we’re alive—even in retirement.

The goal here is finding the work or job that refl ects your sense of purpose and that lines up with what your heart is telling you that you should do. I call this finding your life’s work.
