「作中で大量のノートパソコンが『廃棄』ってなってたのは、使用者＝パスワードがわかるひとが居なくなってしまったからだ」という話を思い出した。意味がわかると重いシーンだ……
先日生徒さんから「SFとファンタジーの違いはなんですか？」という質問がありまして、誤解を恐れずに端的に言うとまず『ファンタジーには明確な源流があるけど、SFにはない』という事なんだと思います。
ファンタジーは無論「指輪物語」と「ダンジョンズ＆ドラゴンズ」ですね。
ある意味ほぼ全てのファンタジーはこの二作に縛られていると言って良いと思います。
所がSFにはこれがないんですよね。縛りとしては「サイエンス・フィクション」なんでしょうが、始祖的な存在にジュール・ヴェルヌの「月世界旅行」や「海底二万里」、H・G・ウェルズの「タイムマシン」などがあり、これは俗に『冒険小説』というジャンルになります。
