actually, you said love, for you,
is larger than the usual romantic love.
it’s like a religion. it’s terrifying. no one will ever want to sleep with you. [crush, richard siken]
I want love. Of course, I do. But I fear what it takes from me. I fear the way I let it rearrange me, the way it demands space in my mind even when I fight it. I fear how I lose myself in the wanting.
it is inevitable, we’re so damn hardwired to search for love that we willingly walk into heartbreak. we endure gut-wrenching tragedy, over and over, and still open our hearts knowing they’ll shatter again… it’s madness. Personally, I think it’s the most beautiful, morbid thing about being human. our capacity for love outweighs our fear of pain.
