One theory I like is the "No More Zero Days" mindset. If you have written one sentence, even one word, you can call that day a success. Just as long as it isn’t zero. When you start your thing every day, it gets hard to not do it.

As a counterstrategy, keep a “done list,” which starts empty first thing in the morning, and which you then gradually fill with whatever you accomplish through the day.
