On 24th and 25th of February 1979, a national conference took place in Genova Italy again the development of nuclear energy and its capitalist use. It practically marked, the end of the first phase of the anti-nuclear mobilization (1976-79). The conference, organized among others by the Italian leftist ecologist magazine ROSSO VIVO (“vivid red”) represented an attempt to support the growth of the anti-nuclear movement of the previous two years by grounding it in the participation of the working class.
