Every time I reflect on my body of work I learn something about what I want to be doing, and what rhythms work for me. I’ve put a lot of pressure on myself to be prolific is certain ways… to be churning out work for the algorithm gods. But when I reflect on what pieces really mean something to me, and the eras that I was most effortlessly prolific - they have the commonality of being motivated by play and collaboration. What happens if I combine this and that? What if we do it ‘wrong’? Can you wear it upside down? Backwards? How does that emotion feel in my body? Can I materialize that sensation? What connections come to me without effort? Can you show me your teeth? What happens if I print it? Light it on fire? Scan it? Print it again?
