Is the criticism based on fact or opinion? Is the criticism likely to correct errors and improve performance or is it only a put down? Is the criticism expressed in positive terms that will help motivate change? Would an objective observer consider the criticism to be fair? Is the criticism delivered in private or in front of others?

Does this mean no criticism? No. It means learning where and when to seek out right criticism.
