Insight is the opposite of predictable. Insights are disruptive. They come without warning, take forms that are unexpected, and open up unimagined opportunities.
I like to begin by understanding my most important, and most risky, assumptions. Those tend to be the areas where you need to gather insights most urgently. You can uncover your assumptions in a myriad of ways.
How do you know that your insight is correct? How do you know it’s something worth pursuing?
What we want to attain is confident humility: having faith in our capability while appreciating that we may not have the right solution or even be addressing the right problem.
