What you say and what you think matters, just like I’ve expressed in previous chapters. It is crazy how your thoughts impact your life, your bank account included.

If we never even ask, the answer will always be no.
if we develop the skills of self-honesty, we build the foundation for future and current relationships.
Aside from asking yourself whether a specific comment is actually necessary, as I mentioned earlier, also ask yourself: Is this someone who will be receptive to my loving honesty? If they don’t like what I feel I should tell them, what will the result be within this relationship?
Before we open our mouths to deliver honestly, we need to ask ourselves, “What’s my motive here? Does this actually need to be said?”
those who take pride or boast about being “brutally honest,” usually seem to enjoy the “brutal” part more than the “honest” part.
The lesson here: The courage to be fully honest with others, even when it isn’t easy, matters.
