A powerful example of what a determined mind can achieve, as well as a cautionary tale against the indentured servitude that student loans subject people to. I expect, however, that the window Scott hit, may not be a permanent one.What about the idea of a powerful world class mentor program for self education? Someone who challenges you and checks in, but at a much lower cost than a college. Can you virtualization self learning? Is this what Khan academy is trying to get to?
You can link your financial success (or other kinds of success) to the success of the larger company. If you can figure out how to do this, then you can stay at your job forever and watch it grow. If you can’t figure out how to do this then you MUST QUIT. But only after eliminating risks.
