The Prosperous Heart: Creating a Life of 'Enough'

When dollars run short, we face the future with fear. We strive to keep our heads above water. We strive to meet our bills and not go further into debt. We strive, period. Life becomes an exercise in apprehension. Some of us stop sleeping. Others of us take to our beds, seeking oblivion.

“I’m above the shopaholic in my spiritual attainment.”

Doing something that they love can be financially rewarding, much to people’s surprise. Often, people must overcome “either-or” thinking—“Either I can be creative, or I can be solvent.”

“I am deserving of good, and as I work hard and take care of my finances, I trust that I will be guided to right action and safety,”

When we are possessed of a prosperous heart, we do not act rashly out of anxiety.

“I am worthy of having money.”

If our spending habits mask anxiety, they also create anxiety.

“What am I afraid of?” When the answer becomes clear, we must learn to take that fear to our spiritual source, asking our Higher Power to intervene.
