If the answer is a clear yes, do not jump into coaching them in that very moment.
Don’t wait for one-hundred percent readiness. It will never come. When you are eighty percent ready, go for it. Run straight at it. Get exposed. Risk messing up.
Slow down the time you spend preparing for a meeting with a new client and you will think of questions that no one has ever asked them. Slow down enough to get a sense of your client’s world before you meet them and you will be more present for them than anyone else has ever been for them.
In fact, as a coach, one of your gifts is that you know less about their business than they do.
