I think what’s more interesting about Web 3 and the angle that I would love to explore more is, in so far as it serves as a vector for allowing platform participants to become the owners of the platforms themselves.

This is the Ownership Economy, and beyond being a positive social endeavor, the platforms building it are able to leverage the strongest form of market incentives to grow network effects.

The ownership economy has the opportunity to address one of the biggest and most morally troubling issues of our time: economic inequality. As the wealth gap continues to widen to levels not seen since just before the Great Depression, the best way to combat this is to enable everyone to become an owner of wealth-building assets.

Ownership is a powerful motivator for users to contribute to products in deeper ways, be it with ideas, computing resources, code, or community building.
