The Master Note System

A Master Note is a table in a note that holds links to other notes or links to files or webpages. It can hold images, labels, text, and audio. It can hold anything that you can store in Evernote.

The idea is to develop your own system that makes sense to you, and then to follow it. The key to success is persistence. Develop the habit of thinking, when you save a note, how will I find it? Take a few seconds to make it easier for yourself later. The more you do this, the more time you save later.

By investing a little time in organization when saving notes, you save a huge amount of time later in retrieving the notes.

The Master Note is a note with a table inserted. The table holds links, whether to individual notes or to notes that themselves have links. It also can have hyperlinks to webpages, to files on your hard drive or your cloud drives. You can have text within the cells, or numbered lists, bulleted lists, or checklists.

You create Master Notes on the desktop, but you can use them on any platform or device.

A virtual folder tree shows files from various folders and drives together as though they were in the same folder.
