Does an ornament exist apart from the gold of which it is made? There is gold in the ring. There is no ring apart from the gold. Gold is the only substance. The ring is just a name given. Gold is the only substance there. Likewise, the Self, of the nature of sat-chit-ananda, is the only Existence.

The body is not the Self, but the body and anything else are not apart from the Self.

Gold is not an ornament, but the ornament is nothing but gold.

3. While in fact the body is in the Self, he who thinks that the Self is within the insentient body is like one who considers the cloth of the screen, which supports a cinema picture, to be contained within the picture.

Who is it that asks himself “Who am I”? How can one not know the Self? Who is it that inquires? Where do you assume yourself to be? What are you taking yourself to be? Existing all the while as the Self, you are the Self, so who is ignorant of what? Who does not know whom?

Inquire into that which has been overlooked. It is your own Self, the immediate Existence.

There is no action that is nondual. Action pertains to the body. The nondual Knowledge is transcendent of the body. Nondual Knowledge destroys the objective world. To try to express that in action would be absurd.

Nonduality is of the nature of Knowledge. There is no particular action that is nondual.

Nonduality is interior Knowledge. One should not deviate from this Knowledge, ever.
