It is normal for me to take 1-2 days to read my emails, texts, and/or listen to my voicemails and 1 more days to reflect on the matter and respond calmly. The culture of immediacy and the constant fragmentation of time are not very compatible with the kind of life I lead. Thanks for your understanding! YOU ROCK!

Respond to emails that require action as quickly as possible, and always within twenty-four hours. Failing to respond to an email — even if your response is “I’ll get back to you tomorrow” — projects the image of a person who is overwhelmed, disorganized, and inefficient.
