The Divine Romance: Collected Talks and Essays on Realizing God in Daily Life – Volume 2
In the difficult struggle to maintain balance between meditation and activity, the greatest safety lies in the consciousness of the Lord. Everything that I do with the consciousness of God becomes meditation.

Analyze your actions and find out whether your life is similarly uncontrolled, pulled toward certain destruction by the wild steeds of your senses. If there is any harmful habit you have not yet tamed, learn now to control it. Slavery to habits such as drinking or sex indulgence will destroy you.
The treasure of friendship is your richest possession, because it goes with you beyond this life. All the true friends you have made you will meet again in the home of the Father, for real love is never lost.
When you try to imprison Omnipresent Love in the form of one soul, it will escape and play hide-and-seek with you until you find It in every soul. Increase the intensity and spiritual quality of the love you feel for one or a few souls, and give that love to all. Then you will know what Christ-love is.

Then you can’t hate anyone, because you see Him enshrined in all body temples.
The person who refuses to think, or reason, or discriminate, or use his will or creative energy, is already dead.
