Make no mistake that video games are the main competitors of schools.

90% of the human brain develops before the age of 5 (Y Combinator).

Assuming that schools need to exist, the curriculum should not be static (i.e. should be updated in real-time) given the increasing dynamism and complexity in the world. Perhaps this is another reason to promote self-directed learning.

With the internet, information has become infinite but our ability to attain and retain information is finite.

Assuming that education needs to exist, there is probably no one-size-fits-all model for education (other than the need for feedback from the real-world). Therefore, it seems that adaptive learning is important.
