Whilst I entirely agree that vitamin C deficiency (however you define it) is a cause of atherosclerosis. It is definitely not the cause. I think he went over the top in what he claimed.

My advice, take a supplement. Especially if you live in an area with ‘soft’ water – which means not many minerals. Doubly especially if you have atrial fibrillation. It might just go away. How much do you need to take? Around 400 mg a day is fine.
