We can see the panic of the world and how we rush headlong from one thing to the next. Most of the time it’s without any real deep consideration of why we’re trying to achieve a certain thing.

Life is a breathing-in and breathing-out. A child is born, an old one dies. It’s a chain, a living, rippling, sinuous, serpentine ladder. Our genes are a holographic depiction, a biological reflection of the great chain.

If we’re listening to life, we learn to let go of our expectations but we never let go of our hope. This is detachment. Detachment actually begins to open our heart.
