Story Maps: How to Write a GREAT Screenplay

If you’re going the indie route, my advice is to end on what is most true to your story.

Remember not to be afraid to Get Extreme! And, as always...be elegant.

Use as few words as possible. But make them the BEST words.

-Show them doing the right thing, early on.

if you’re going to use Voiceover, it must be specific, vital and advance the story. Or just be fun.

If you know what a character wants in a scene, you will always know what they would do and say. Thus... You should always know what every character wants in any

Be elegant.

Keep it second person present tense and use strong, unique verbs that capture tone, emotion, and character.
