Stoicism for Inner Peace

Their worries about the future make them so uptight and sometimes so paralyzed, while the heavy burden of the past is resting on their shoulders.

Ownership is just an idea. It’s an illusion. In reality, we can never truly own something that is beyond our control. If we could, then nothing in the world would be able to separate us from what’s ours.

The Stoic you, however, has a different approach. It fully embraces fate no matter what

Anxiety isn’t caused by the environment. It’s caused by the position we take towards the environment.

When we embrace whatever happens, what could go wrong? Nothing.

When things can’t go wrong, there’s nothing to worry about. When there’s nothing to worry about, the fear of the future won’t sap our energy and make us feel miserable. By unconditionally embracing our destiny, we have nothing to fear.

The more we value things beyond our control, the less control we have.
