When emotions have been relegated to the position of having nothing to teach, and instead viewed as something to control, manipulate or get rid of, events can appear as though random. When people do not take responsibility for all of themselves, the result can often be blaming others and acting out on others.

you judge your experiences rather than understanding and accepting them, you lock the energy into rigid patterns of perception that take your focus away from what could help you grow.

Death of the ego, or self, is not a necessary part of spiritual growth. Judging against, putting parts of the self aside or not accepting them is denial of the self. There is no problem with ego/self if it sees itself as evolving with the rest of you. This is a part of you, and like all other parts of the self, needs acceptance.

Many people have felt guilty if they have begun to think that they have caused their own dis-ease. It is important to have self-acceptance for whatever form your lessons take and compassion for yourself for wherever you are on your path and for whatever you are able to evolve.
