In his later years, Paul attempts to establish a doctrine that says that a person is not saved by works (keeping the law) because no one has ever been righteous (i.e., no one has been able to keep "God's" law). This is arguably the biggest premise of all Christianity, that "God's" laws are impossible to keep and that no one can keep them.

is sad to me that this type of inquiry is so seldom heard in the modern church since the debate has literally been raging for thousands of years and has largely been hidden from the masses.
