On Genius, Intellect, and Obsession

“Our vanity, our self-love, promotes the cult of the genius,”11 Nietzsche said. “For if we think of genius as something magical, we are not obliged to compare ourselves and find ourselves lacking…. To call someone ‘divine’ means: ‘here there is no need to compete.’”

A better definition of a genius is, "a man who has discovered how to increase the vibrations of thought to the point where he can freely communicate with sources of knowledge not available through the ordinary rate of vibration of thought."

I have come to believe that my genius spends a lot of time waiting around for me—waiting to see if I’m truly serious about this line of work.
