Networking for Introverts: How to Make Connections that Count Without Being Sleazy
Introverts might not be their boss’ favorite employee, but they’re the ones whose work will be missed if they leave.
There should be no pressure for introverted people to become like extravert-dominant society. The world needs introverts. It’s time to admire them for their strengths, rather than trying to make them fit someone else idea of normal.
Introverts in general do not share the extrovert’s love of small talk or social pleasantries. They are real and honest. If they have common ground, they’ll find it, but dislike being exhausted by forced interactions.
One of the biggest of these is the idea that introverts are shy, rude, or otherwise don’t enjoy talking to people. Actually, introverts don’t have any aversion to speaking to people. They simply do not talk unless there is a reason to do so.
