Going viral used to require creativity. Early Vine was an art form. Memes were born of deep, niche context. Today, it’s about quantity over quality, saying the right thing about the right 24 hour trend and adversity for adversity’s sake. Just enough pseudo-meaning that doesn’t really mean anything - but it’s easy to understand.
