Animal niches tend to come from survivorship and physical environment. Human niches can come from society, ideology, physical geography, etc.

People don’t have one identity and oneself. “Be yourself” is a very western concept.. “Just be yourself” isn’t really actionable advice because we have so many versions of our self – even when one “self” might be more natural to us than another
