My leadership style is primarily affiliative (positive). I tend to lean on pacesetting, as well, which according to this article can be wearisome and burdensome (negative).
This articles suggest mastering 4 styles to use interdependently with heavy suggestion towards:
- Authoritative (clarity, vision setting)
- Affiliative (empathy)
- Coaching (development)
- Democratic (concenous - careful with this one, use sparingly, I defer to this one too often. I have noticed recently, counter to my thoughts, people don't actually like this, they want direction)
