Use the time-management techniques in chapter 3 to ensure that writing the first draft won’t defeat you. Don’t stop to revise, don’t stop to look up words, don’t stop to Google, don’t stop to look back. Just keep going at all costs, from the beginning right straight through the middle to the end. Then stop.
