HSP traits and chronic pain/neurological stuff like migraines can look very similar.
For example:
You might avoid crowded places or loud environments—not because of temperament, but because you know they might trigger pain.
You could have emotional intensity or need more rest because your system is already carrying a heavier load.

Further, although pain depends on brain activity for its existence, this does not mean you can simply think pain away or that pain is your fault. Unfortunately, the processes which create pain are mostly unconscious and outside your control.
