To the extent that we are faithful, the next generation of emerging artists will stand on our shoulders.

Art can add, enrich, beautify and inform culture and teach us more about ourselves, as well as degrade, stereotype, marginalize, confuse and offend.

But to deny that there are moments that mean more than the historical act that takes place is also missing the fact that God is present and involved in ways and means that we will never see until heaven.

Would a return to art’s ancient, primal function of elucidating religion signal its death? Or is our culture beginning to see the wisdom of a narrative that includes reconciliation, restoration and redemption?

Isn’t it an artist’s job to try and see through the traditions, systems and commercialism that build up in our culture, preventing us from seeing who we really are?

When artists hide their vocation, the church is deprived of the type of member that it often needs more of in order to balance the left brained tendencies of the majority.

The more enlightened are eager for whatever experience makes them more fully human, as that was God’s purpose for man from the beginning.

All He asks is that you stand ready to serve. If you listen with open ears, see with pure eyes, and speak with honesty and graciousness, then opportunities will abound. And, There will be Miracles When You Believe.

Miller lived in flux and his very existence embodied the same tension that gives rise to Beauty’s central dilemma for she is either born from or the evidence of excess. By nature, Beauty is prodigal and spendthrift and it is because of this that pragmatists find her ways nearly impossible to defend.
