But in order to have a different ending, we have to be in the present—to see people for who they are, rather than punishing them for the hurt others have caused us.
Next time a negative thought, criticism, or judgment comes, take a deep breath and ask yourself: What part of me is self-protecting with this judgment? What part of me is trying to control things with this thought? Is this thought coming from love or from fear?
all sensations in our body are messages, and that is all you need to know to validate them. It doesn’t matter whether the threat is real or perceived.
