Thank you. For reassuring me that taking meds doesn’t mean taking meds for life, and also that finding my way to a career that works for my ADHD, and developing non-pharmaceutical coping mechanisms are both valid answers.

Psychopharmacology, Modafinil is a slow acting long lasting weak dopamine reuptake inhibitor, so it’s non addictive and you can try it and see how it affects you as a diagnostic and if it works you take it as a treatment. There are other meds like Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) which are also quite safe and can help a lot with dopamine dysregulation.
