achievements in and of themselves will not add to your joy in the long-term. If we don’t learn how to find joy and be present on the voyage to achieving or attaining x, y, & z, we’ll probably turn out to be unhappy people with just a bit more money or medals.

it’s wonderful to achieve goals and reach a certain level of success, but when it’s all said and done, what’s the point?

Happiness isn’t a new car, fame, a good marriage, wealth, or a warm blanket. Those are things. Happiness is what you feel inside of you as a result of the things that happen to you.
