A quote by André Gide
“The only true voyage of discovery, the only fountain of Eternal Youth, would be not to visit strange lands but to possess other eyes, to behold the universe through the eyes of another, of a hundred others” Proust
Getting lost is not always comfortable, or pleasant, but it is an organic and fundamental part of the human experience. The more one is able to accept it, rather than fight it, the more skillful one becomes in one’s travels.
Not till we are lost, in other words, not till we have lost the world, do we begin to find ourselves, and realize where we are and the infinite extent of our relations.
« À quoi bon emprunter sans cesse le même vieux sentier ? Vous devez tracer des sentiers vers l’inconnu. Si je ne suis pas moi, qui le sera? »
