The thief comes to kill, steal, and destroy, but Jesus has come to give you life and that life is best lied and enjoyed in the context of a local church. Not only are we in Christ, but He is now in us. We are the light of the world, the salt of the earth. The greater One lives in us. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in our spirits. Jesus, the Hope of the World, is now in us. We become carriers of hope and carriers of His presence wherever we go.

the essential command: loving others as Christ does, advancing His Kingdom as ambassadors of love.

John was at the cross with Jesus. He was the only disciple who remained faithful and stayed with Jesus as he suffered. Their bond pointed to a future reality—a love that every Christian would know with God and, one day, with every other Christian in eternity.
