One of the most intelligent case studies in design is the Chinese tea cup. They’re made without handles simply because if it’s too hot to touch, it’s too hot to drink.

Humans naturally want to add more. Add a cardboard sleeve, add a warning on the outside of the cup, add a handle. The result of all these things never cools down the actual contents.

It’s just a matter of not waiting. When you wait, you lose momentum. And momentum is incredibly powerful because when you’re inspired, you act—and you do it with enthusiasm.

But if you choose differently, if you endure, if you discipline yourself, if you risk failure, if you keep walking even when it feels pointless, you’re building someone extraordinary. You’re building a future self who wakes up and says, “Thank God you didn’t give up on me.”
