I guess I am a director, but I don’t exactly identify with it as a title. I’m a maker, and like to use whichever medium might work best for the specific goals of a project. I also work in visual art, performance, music, photography, I assemble objects and write, in addition to making films and videos.

it’s not a bad idea to check in with ourselves about what parts of our self expression are artifice or genuine, what fat can be trimmed and what can be finessed. taking a look at yourself and your habits of consumption are financially and artistically wise. doing more with less. but you can also do more with more and i think that’s okay too.

and, what’s more, most people i know who are into fashion, myself included, do not make enough money to indulge in overconsumption in the ghoulish ways people often imply: $500 Shein hauls, most of which ends up in a landfill.
