As finance has started to take on more responsibility and influence within organizations, the technology enabling CFOs and finance teams has lagged. Most finance workflows, such as annual planning, quarterly actuals reporting and reconciliations, tend to be managed within disconnected spreadsheets with no automation or collaboration capabilities.

Reorgs are also how teams grow. I remember fondly earning the right to reorganize because we secured new funding or I found a structure that empowered an up-and-coming leader. Team members who thrive are those who figure out how to embrace the opportunities that come with change.

We conclude that while DAOs are not organisations (in a traditional sense), they are collectives exhibiting some degree of organisationality which they enact through communication events and processes.
