The quote I initially read caught my eye. I definitely watched another video essay that highlighted how our romanticization of analogue may cure our addictions to screens for a while, but it doesn’t CURE our unhappiness. Neither does buying so much stuff for tactile hobbies you don’t even know if you’ll like. It’s just one attempt to fill the void after another. The problem isn’t the screen. It’s you.
If I were to have a dog when I grow up and am on my own, I’d have a cocker spaniel. And I want to revisit a classic movie or two. I connect a lot with the energy The Lady And The Tramp and The Aristocats have. I think Lady and Duchess are role models I have. How can I be more like them? Or how can I do what they do my way?
The idea of creative impulsivity. Such a good think piece, definitely resonated a lot with my perspective.

What a beautiful thing to have curly hair—to have the hair of the muses and goddesses of the past. In all its shapes and majestic, whimsical glory. Maybe this is why all the hair I draw is curled and frizzy and textured.
