I can’t quite decide if I am against it or not… do these continue to reinforce structured roles, or is it a useful mechanism? Does it continue to hold the power of the masculine over the feminine, or help to highlight the ways to create and read feminine language?

Beautiful video, I was really dubious at first but my inner angry feminist won! I can completely see the parallels with these steps of the heroines journey and how I try to force myself to belong in a patriarchal world. It is always a journey back to the mother the grandmother the great grandmother. I became completely overwhelmed at the end overcome by emotion and tears wanted to break free.
Author of the heroines journey was a trained Jungian psychologist and so uses a lot of parallels with mythology.
