If there were to be a Celtic equivalent to Zeus or Jupiter, widely considered the “father gods” of the Greeks and Romans, it would have to be the Dagda.

The principal deities included those who resided on Mount Olympus, the tallest mountain in Greece, and are often referred to as the Olympians. These include Zeus, the ruler of all other deities, Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, and Apollo, the god of music, poetry, and the Sun, among other associations.

(The archetype here is the god Zeus, insatiable seducer of young maidens, whose main weapon was the ability to assume the form of whatever person or animal would most appeal to his victim.)
