The goal of our calling isn’t to be bi-vocational, fully paid, or volunteer. The goal of our existence is to learn how to leverage everything God has given us.

Our fathers taught, “Your actions speak so loudly I can’t hear what you say.” Today’s young people tell us, “Don’t talk the talk if you don’t walk the walk.” Each maxim merely reflects a higher wisdom that urges Christian leaders to “conduct [themselves] in a manner worthy of the gospel” (Phil. 1:27).

But he preached the gospel and made disciples of them over the entire course of his ministry.

apostle Paul, too, merged his work with his ministry. In Acts 18:2-4, we’re told that Paul practiced his tent-making vocation with Priscilla and Aquila while he ministered in Corinth.
