IMO this is true for most things: art, essays, twitter presence, etc
One reason for this is that connecting with an audience is its own art that requires practice
If something feels off about your entire life, it could be that you or ppl around you are unconsciously applying the wrong genre. I used to live inside a conspiracy thriller. But it turned out that magical realism was much more accurate
